Artist Collaboration Policy
A creative space for singers, musicians, performers and artists to connect, collaborate and grow together.
Our Collaboration Philosophy
Team Melodies aims to create opportunities for artists to showcase their talent, develop creative projects, participate in suitable collaborations and connect with relevant music and entertainment opportunities.
We value originality, professionalism, mutual respect, clear communication and a shared commitment to quality.
Who Can Apply?
- Singers, vocalists and independent musicians.
- Instrumentalists, composers, songwriters and music producers.
- Performers, bands, DJs and other relevant creative professionals.
- Content creators and artists whose work fits a proposed project.
Applicants must provide accurate information about their identity, artistic work and experience. Any age restrictions, guardian consent requirements or additional eligibility conditions will depend on the particular opportunity and applicable law.
Submitting Your Application
- Complete the collaboration form with accurate contact and artist information.
- Provide relevant portfolio links, demo recordings, social profiles or work samples where requested.
- Describe your skills, creative interests and the type of collaboration you are seeking.
- Submit only material that you own or are authorized to share.
- Do not submit confidential information that is not required for your application.
Team Melodies may contact applicants for additional details, portfolio review, availability or a discussion about a potential project.
Review and Selection Process
Applications may be reviewed based on artistic suitability, portfolio quality, project requirements, availability, experience and other relevant considerations.
Not every applicant will be selected. An application, audition, meeting or informal discussion does not create a promise of work, payment, representation or future bookings.
Selection decisions will be communicated through the contact details provided, where applicable.
Artist Responsibilities
- Communicate respectfully with the Team Melodies team, collaborators and other artists.
- Provide accurate information about your skills, experience and availability.
- Attend agreed meetings, rehearsals, recording sessions or performances on time.
- Notify the relevant contact as early as reasonably possible if plans change.
- Respect agreed deadlines, project requirements and event instructions.
- Avoid harassment, discrimination, threats, abusive behaviour or deliberate disruption.
- Follow reasonable safety and venue requirements during rehearsals, shoots and events.
Original Work and Usage Rights
Artists retain ownership of their original work except where ownership is lawfully transferred through a separate written agreement or otherwise determined under applicable law.
Artists must have the necessary permissions for music, lyrics, compositions, recordings, samples, photographs, videos, artwork and other materials they submit or use.
Submission of a portfolio for review does not, by itself, transfer ownership of that material to Team Melodies or grant unrestricted rights to publish, distribute, modify or commercially exploit it.
Before a project begins, the parties should document any required permissions, credits, licensing, revenue sharing, ownership arrangements and permitted promotional use.
Fees, Compensation and Agreements
Collaboration opportunities may be paid, unpaid, promotional or based on another mutually agreed arrangement. The applicable terms should be communicated clearly before an artist commits to a project.
Unless confirmed in a separate written agreement, submitting an application does not establish an employment relationship, guaranteed fee, royalty, revenue share, reimbursement or other payment entitlement.
Any agreed payment, expense reimbursement, cancellation charge or revenue-sharing arrangement should be documented separately before work begins.
Photography, Video and Publicity
Recording, photographing or publicly promoting an artist in connection with a collaboration should follow the permissions and terms agreed for that project.
Artists should not assume that participation automatically authorizes every future promotional or commercial use of their name, image, voice, performance or recordings.
Any required consent, release, credit or usage limitation should be recorded separately where appropriate.
How Application Information Is Handled
Information submitted through collaboration forms may be used to review applications, contact artists, assess project suitability and manage relevant collaboration discussions.
Access to submitted information should be limited to authorized people who need it for these purposes. Personal information will be handled according to the Team Melodies Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Artists should submit identification documents or other sensitive information only when specifically requested through an appropriate channel and reasonably necessary for a legitimate purpose.
Withdrawing From a Collaboration
An applicant may withdraw an application by contacting Team Melodies. If an artist has already entered into a separate project agreement, the withdrawal and termination conditions in that agreement will apply.
Team Melodies may decline an application or discontinue discussions where project requirements are not met, information is materially inaccurate, conduct is inappropriate or another legitimate reason applies.
Any payment, delivery, licensing or other obligations already agreed in writing remain subject to the relevant agreement and applicable law.
Important Disclaimer
Team Melodies does not guarantee selection, a particular number of collaborations, event appearances, audience reach, commercial success or future earnings merely because an artist submits an application or joins a discussion.
Each opportunity depends on project requirements, availability, approvals and the specific terms agreed by the parties.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in our collaboration process, services or legal requirements. The current version will be published on this page.
Project-specific agreements may contain additional terms. If a conflict arises, the parties should review the relevant written agreement and applicable law.
